How to merge PDF files online in 4 steps

Open the Merge tab. Drop two or more PDFs into the box, or click it and pick them.

Put them in order. Drag the handle on each file to move it up or down. The list reads from top to bottom, just like the finished document.

Press Merge into one PDF. The tool joins them into a single file.

Save it. The new PDF downloads straight to your computer.

Good to know before you start

Split: the page numbers you type are positions in the file (1 = first page), not the numbers printed on the pages. Blank pages are not skipped.
Merge: links and fillable form fields may not carry over to the merged file.
Organize: rotate with nothing selected and every page turns.
Compress: a text PDF is only tidied up and stays searchable; a scan is turned into images, so its text can no longer be selected.
PDF to images: pages come out on a white background.
Images to PDF: pictures are saved as JPEG at 92% quality, so a PNG is no longer lossless.
All tools: PDFs locked with a password cannot be opened, and very large files depend on your computer's memory.

Is this PDF tool really free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark on your files and no limit on how many PDFs you join, split or compress.

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your browser, on your own computer. Your files never leave your device, so it is fine for contracts, invoices and other private documents.

Can I merge PDFs without losing quality?

Yes. Merging only puts the pages one after another. It does not squash or redraw them, so text and pictures look exactly as before.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

As many as you like. The only real limit is your computer's memory, so very large files may take a little longer.
